The Buffalo Cattaraugus and Jamestown Scenic Railway (BC&J) is a not for profit organization focused on developing and operating excursion steam and diesel-electric passenger train excursions in the Western New York area.
Our Mission
The mission of the Buffalo, Cattaraugus & Jamestown Scenic Railway Company is to attract the public to participate in steam and diesel-powered excursion passenger train rides so that they may learn about and appreciate the equipment and culture of American railroads and to do so in a manner that is safe, educational, enjoyable, economically self-sustaining, and a credit to the legions of men and women who have worked for or used the railroad before us and will in the future.
What We Offer
The BC&J Scenic Railway offers passenger excursions in the Hamburg area each year. In addition, we offer specialty excursions for railfans and the opportunity to charter a train for your business needs.
Whether you are looking for a trip out with the family or a unique place to have a company outing, the Buffalo Cattaraugus and Jamestown Scenic Railway has something to offer.
Our excursions are operating on the Buffalo Southern Railroad line, with the cooperation and utilization of their diesel/electric-powered locomotives.
